I consider myself a logical person, yet I accept that there is a lot in the universe we humans have yet to figure out and discover. I’m curious about the paranormal, but I tend to take a very skeptical approach to its existence. A few years ago I discovered the SyFy channel’s Ghost Hunters TV show. I appreciated their approach in paranormal research – trying to find logical real world explanations for supposed paranormal activity.
Here was a group that wasn’t quick to declare a place “haunted”. In fact, most of the time if a place exhibited phenomenon that they were able to physically document, they would at most say it exhibited paranormal activity. I only remember them declaring a site “haunted” a few times in the first couple of seasons. I respected that. I mean how much detailed evidence can one collect in one short session?
Now I have to admit, I watch Ghost Hunters and some of the other paranormal shows out there for entertainment for the most part. I’ll admit, some of the stuff they’ve “caught” over the years is definitely interesting and has made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. But I think I don’t believe anything they present as evidence anymore. [More]
Okay so they’re not really making a movie about Twitter…yet…But they did make one about Facebook. And this is a parody of that movie only it’s Twitter instead of Facebook…in the movie, or clip um or something.
Okay, I’m a big Alan Tudyk fan. He was awesome as Wash on Firefly. (Why Joss, why?!?)
He’s in this independent horror-comedy called “Tucker & Dale v.s. Evil” that looks hilarious. As the official website describes it:
Two hillbillies are suspected of being killers by a group of college kids camping near the duo’s West Virginian cabin. As the body count accidentally climbs so does the fear and confusion as the college kids try to seek revenge against the pair, who believe that the kids are on some sort of suicide pact. Preconceptions and misunderstandings abound as horror and hilarity occupy the screen side by side.
And the official trailer is funny as hell. As of this post, they don’t have major distribution, so all you fellow Browncoats out there, let’s help Alan out and spread the word and let’s get this puppy up on the big screen.
I was watching the Science Channel’s special “Powering the Future” and they had a segment on the CODA car company. It looks like it might be a nice alternative to the hybrids out there and even the Chevy Volt (in case you’re not a fan of Chevy).
